Dragonscale:
Step 1: Get task "The Search for the Ultimate Story" from Gimblefixx in Dragonscale
Step 2: Turn in 3 silver pieces from Minotaurs
Step 3: Take key to King Ak`anon in NE Dragonscale; Hold the key on your cursor, hover over the door and hit "U" key. Hail King and follow [prompts] (special note for shortbus people, YES that means follow ALL his prompts, especially the [leave] one after you get seal! Why would I bother to put in follow [prompts]...if you could just use a single trigger from somewhere in the middle, think about it! It's not just flavor text, you have to go all the way thru it)
Step 4: Get Seal of Ak`Anon from King by turning in Key
Step 5: Hail Gimblefixx again

Fortress Mechanotus:
Step 6: Hail Clockwork Warmashal
Step 7: "Warmashal sent you" to Gurtrude the Spymaster



Now, although it isn’t part of this quest, there is a trick to the next part: Normally you would have to fight your way and clear to the injured spy for the next part…BUT if you hail Gertrude again after task update, and follow [prompts], you get a set of available tasks by saying [alone]. The one you want is called: Disrupt the Workshop.

Note: You DO NOT have to do Disrupt the Workshop, you are only getting it because the first objective is to hail the NPC right at where you zone in to S.H.I.P:

*Get a disguise from Steamwork Spy MK-1

Why? Because this gives you an illusion which makes you non-kos to the see invis mobs in the zone. One of the named see thru the illusion, but not regular invis. Therefore - illusion + invis = win (see next step).

SHIP Workshop:
Step 8: Hail the "injured spy" on the top level, back right corner of SHIP to receive Spy Document

Fortress Mechanotus:
Step 9: Hand in Document from Spy to Gurtrude

Gyrospires Zeka and Beza (catapults near where you zone into fortress, click them (without levi) to get lauched to the respective zones).
Step 10: Get Document Sample from each Gyrospire. You get one each from named at the top of the towers in Beza and Zeka. Two named, two zones, two drops. You will need a couple solid groups at the very least for this two. Clearing is a pain and repops are fast. Mobs are no slouches either. Once you have both Document Samples…

Fortress Mechanotus:
Step 11: Turn in Documents (both at the same time) to Gertrude
Step 12: Get and turn in "Piece of Scrap Metal" from the zone, with the Seal of Ak`Anon (again, both at once)
Step 13: Go to Meldrath's Mansion door and do the Puzzle
Step 14: Zone in, you're keyed for Meldrath's.



Last note: Step 13 is a PAIN. See some of the posts below about doing that part, or ask someone in game who has completed there. Once you get the clicking down it's pretty simple.

Long and short of it is that you need to 'configure' your key based upon 8 correct emotes in order to finish it (and zone in normally from then on). The combination is DIFFERENT for EACH person - so it's not like I can post one 'right' way. It's all in getting yer right clicks timed correctly, to move from one position to the next.


Edit again: The next step involves going back to warmarshall, and the step after that basically says 'explore shit'. When you hail marshall you MUST have room for an ADDITIONAL task in your task que. Completing that will complete the next (1) objective for exploring on your Search for the Ultimate Adventure task...see all those other steps? This will give you an idea of how long the task really is, make SURE not to clog up your task que too much guys. Get rid of old shit etc where you can.
