TF2 Validating; Pants Full of Fail

So, for the past two days when I start Steam, it starts a validation for my TF2 files. It locks at 42% and renders my computer completely useless. After about an hour of fucking with it yesterday, I finally dumped the parent directory for TF2 and deleted all game content (it still listed it as ready in spite of all physical files having been removed).

I don't actually need help, just wanted to let Cool, Choob and Panda know why I shat the bed on our 'Heaven Can Wait' run. Cool map too, sorry I missed the opportunity. The initial 10 minutes of game play is with pistols. Rad.

I was having issues with TF2 launching and that verifying cache integrity bullshit a few weeks ago.

i verified the integrity of l4d2 and it actually said there was something wrong with one file, i assume it fixed it for me.
