A friend of mine told me about that game as soon as the demo was released.
It seemed alright, nothing too special, although playing through Antietam with a big modern machine gun does have some value to it.
yeah, i wouldn't ever pay $50 for it unless it had some other features/gimmicks or was just generally very good, but the concept is neat. it kind of reminds me of timesplitters, except in timesplitters (as far as i know) you don't get to use weapons outside of each time period.
Oh Timesplitters. How I loved those games.
Probably my favorite multiplayer shooters ever.
I always remember those challenges. The team hardcore ones of something were really hard in the second one. 2v10 reaper splitters capture the bag on ice station, assault on the junkyard map.. Good times..
eh, so darkest of days is not so great, kind of expected though.
lots of bugs/exploits - you can reload/switch to another weapon while it's reloading and still have it reload, some enemies randomly stand still when you're chasing them and don't shoot at you, out-of-bounds glitches, instant direction changing (but no air control), and some odd graphics (mostly the corn stalks in the cornfield being semi-transparent in a speckled pattern).
there's also some annoying voice acting, and the story so far is weird. mostly i stopped playing the demo cause i just couldn't continue it... there was a checkpoint thing and i tried to make the guy i was escorting go into it, but it didn't do anything even after i killed every nearby enemy soldier, and reloading a save didn't work.
i think the mouse aiming is automatically smoothed too... feels like it does in prototype and some other 360-PC ports.
timesplitters was amazing i own both ts2 and 3. if you have a 360 i believe they recently updated it so that they can both run on it now. i know i tried ts3 on my xbox360 long ago and it wasnt backwards compatible but i picked up conker live and reloaded awhile ago and it worked, so i thought id try ts3 again and it ran. im probably going to play through it again that game was so badass especially making your own maps.
So I'm confused is this game called Darkest of Days or is it called Timesplitters?
That trailer dealy is for Darkest of Days, but there is a popular series called Timesplitters that has a similar premise, so we all ended up talking about that since it's much cooler

Fur Affinity is a website devoted to hosting furry artwork. I know of it, but don't care for it or use it - I don't like how they sort things. It's reliant upon categories, and guess what one of those categories are? Yup, Dragon. As a matter of fact, Dragon is a super-group - there are six subcategories of dragon :O

QuakeTF1 jumps. I really do miss this type of gameplay and wish these physics were integrated into TF2.
