Fugazi -- Waiting Room.
Pogo - Alice afaik
HAHA! It’s Robert Munch…![]()
I have never heard for any of those previously mentioned…but then again I’m certain when it comes to music preference and the crowd that frequents this site, I’m the odd man or should I say WOMAN out.
Allman Brothers- A decade of Hits
Thievery Corp. is badass. Really dug Richest Man in Babylon and ended up picking up their whole discography. They tend to 50/50 between coherent tunes with some structure and 5 minute mind fucks, but overall perfect for passive tunage while I'm working.
Eagles of Death Metal - Tight Pants
I would agree with everything you said above huge fan from the start and I just saw these guys for the first time live at the Aragon brawlroom in Chicago last week Friday with the line wrapping around the entire building at the start of the show. The live set was just unfucking real I couldn't believe how many people really enjoyed Thievery. These guys played a majority of The Mirror Conspiracy for the most part, The Richest Man in Babylon, and some of the newer tracks on Radio Retaliation.Originally Posted by bananahammock
I laughed at the fact of going to see Thievery at a live show thinking only it would be just two guys spinning on turntables but, was amazed to see a full band from guitar players, horns, bass players and numerous singers that performed the original tracks. All in all the show was fantastic with chills running through my body from every song played and would definitely see these guys live again when they come back.
311 - Creatures (For a While)
Wouldn't have figured them for a good live show either. I've seen electronic acts in the past and it has always been the same '1 guy, 2 turntables' routine with some lights and fog and me not being high enough to really appreciate it.Originally Posted by Robert Munch!
I will say that over the years (pushing the dirty 30 now) the best live shows I've seen weren't shows I'd expect would be any good. The high profile gigs I've seen were mediocre (Peppers, Rage, Incubus come to mind) but small acts blew my mind. Actually not such a small show, but Death Cab For Cutie was amazing (I know, I'm an emo horn gazer) and Spacehog was probably one of my favorite shows because of their energy.
But, if I see a Thievery show come around, I'll have to check it out.

My CD player at work just gave out… :'( Radio = Journey – Open Arms
Being able to communicate quickly is useful, but also just playing with the same people for a while you just get better at working together. :P
Zombie (Ray Knox Remix)
Buckethead - Soothsayer, another favorite.
