No love for my boring desktop being an unintentional ad for Launchy when I actually have the icons showing?

There are 324 shortcuts there, I shit you not. My resolution would have to be like 13824 x 10368 to display them all, assuming the 32x32 pixel icon size. I guess 9 LCDs set to 1600x1200 would work.

    Yay organization.

yea your desktop makes me fucking cringe, reminds me when I used to work as a bench tech. and peoples fucking porn and limewire/kazaa icons were sitting on the desktops and wonder why they had viruses and spyware all over they're shit.

Yeah. It's clean as it gets though. I'm a huge nit about security. Btw, procexp.exe and autoruns.exe ftw.

I just let it get like that because I never have the desktop shortcuts showing anymore. I never use them, so my desktop is typically black, with a silly picture in the background, with windows classic theme.

I can't stand the way it looks either. Every time I unhide the shortcuts I die a little bit inside.

Oh, and my math on how many pixels 324 * 32x32 icons would take up is way off.

hrmm so where would all your shortcut icons go, if it covered the entire viewable screen... just in a blank imaginary space somewhere until a proper screen reso is selected to view them all?

Btw, 315 icons are showing, so only 9 are floating in limbo I guess. If one of those nine are deleted when no one is looking, does it make a sound?

Alright, this thread seems appropriate enough.* I need a new look for windows XP.* I want some flashy looking menus and stuff; I think you all know what I mean.* Right now I'm using that crappy bluish look with the 'start' button.* I'm also dirt poor, so a free solution would be cool.* Anyone know a way to skin windows?* Mustikos?* I hear you know computers. :P

Google "royale noir", its a black theme for xp.
Or you could try stardocks Windowblinds(I'm know there's a few torrents for it and some are a pain to get working), it has tons of themes you can download -for free- from their site or deviantart. I'd be using it now but don't has my computers already slow enough for my liking =/

    Re: Desktops

this is my work desktop. it looks confusing but its just 3 monitors, 2 stacked (top monitor slightly right) and the bottom 2 are side by side. The right screen is just a full screen VM of winxp, since most MMCs do not work correctly in vista.
