A New Server TF2 is up

We have a new server up! (Thank you for your help Cool!)

The ip is 63.251.20.236:27015

The name for now until we decide on one is Stupid TF2 Server.

Everyone and I mean every one come visit & Play.

We are still adding things and tweaking things so give us time before you start complaining about things please. Nobody likes a bitch.

We will also have a L4D2 server coming up with in the next few days but we have run into a kink that needs to be worked out.

The search key will be stupidL4D2.

Please do not attempt to use the L4D2 server until I give the ok as the problem seems to be effecting the TF2 server at this time. I will let you know once it has been worked out.

To anyone who can VNC into the server - i put a custom maps text file on the desktop. it has the names and links of custom maps to get. if you want to, feel free to add to the list or install any of the maps on there. if you do install a map, just remove that line from the file.

I went through that and took care of it. I added a few more as well and already have a few I decided need to be removed. I should be getting some more on tomorrow err today at this point lol and once that's done I'll try to get a list out there so you know what's on it. I am adding some jump maps and bball on there as well since i love them and they are good for messing around when its slow or empty.

And yes the L4D2 server is up and running.

Most came from FPS banana. I forget the other site but I will look when I get home. Also, they should download a bit faster. A few fabulous people helped us out with that issue.

Humm big map zip...that would be nice. I'm still new to this stuff but once get the maps we want on the server if I can figure out to do that I sure will.

If you have shell or FTP access to the account, you can use 'get' and/or 'wget' to pull files without having to download to an intermediary (i.e. your computer). Me and Gnum used them to pull files from the old server to the new one and it worked extremely well. I'll message you on Steam when I get settled into my new place tonight (been moving the last two days). I know I was meant to provide some details to you and/or Cool. I'm just fat and embarrassingly lazy.

Omg… So I hate winter and I hate the cold and the stupid ground hog saw its shadow. ½ way through typing this some people grabbed me to go out and smoke. I just wanted to let you all know a stupid steam group was created just to make it so we will have a group show on the opening page of L4D2 and also so I don’t have spam chat messages if we are trying to get a game going. An event is much easier and less harassing imo. If you have not already joined please take a minute and join the group. You can join off Me, Cool, Linus, Peppy, and other regulars. I can’t even think of the people that are already in the group but there are a few.

Stupid people is the group name as of right now really because I couldn’t come up with a name and was rushing through it. If you got something better please let us know.

Since I don't have any meds to take i'm extra specially lazy today, so i'm just going to put this thought from last night in here instead of looking for where to best put it.

Perhaps if we be nice to the pubfags coming in to fill the stupid TF2 server that make up half the teams most of the time we'd get more regulars; y'know, instead of calling them pubfags and whatnot.
