New Server's Map Thread

So I don't know if the first post of a thread like this should be given to Lady or someone who can edit the first post to have the server's nominate list and default rotation and whatnot, but whatever. Editing and the shuffling around of posts can be done if necessary.

The other night I think it was coolsoundingme was nostalga'ing for a map not seen on JLM in a year+, and we found the map: ctf_village (or something like that.) I kind of want this thread to be more of that, where we look back to find great maps we haven't played in forever for some special reminiscing play.

I don't remember the name of this map, but I remember it being a pretty cool map; can anyone name the map in this screenshot?

I wanna say "ctf_2fortified", but I'm not sure of that... (last I remember playing it was around PYRO UPDATE, so yah that's pretty dang ooold.)

JLM used to have a shit ton of maps and I liked it because we could always play something new or different.

It's not that hard to find your way through it; why, I can remember more or less how that place looked like even now almost two or so years after I had last played it.

Although, I am saddened, fellows-! I've just tried to find 2fortified on fpsbanana.com (looking for avantiville_b27, the good TF2-style avanti map) and I haven't been able to find it. >.< It would be super-special-awesome if that map was found again...!

Otherwise, in my browsing through fpsbanana's archives, here are some old maps I remember having good times on that might warrant some revisiting :B

ctf_powerhouse and ctf_powerhouse_jr - Sure I am not the only one who liked these maps? I think jr moreso than powerhouse, simply because it wasn't as long to run/walk to the powerhouse.
ctf_reverse_beta2 - I liked it.
ctf_tf2f_b1 - the map that was made as a clan's map and released, that's what I remember being told.
ctf_freezers_b2 - I don't know if we *have* played this before or not, but it reminds me of another map I remember playing; all I really remember is a fairly open middle with vertical paths and a silo mid-way between the middle and the bases that had a one-way drop to the middle. I remember camping as Demoman in that silo... I think it might have been CP though...
EDIT: Found that map I was thinking of; cp_switchback_b5
ctf_rocketcity - I remember a map named something like this; it had a silo down in which was located the intel, and the map took place at night...

That 2fortified link is fail, banana. Fileplanet is a gigantic failure for requiring a monthly subscription.

That lazytown version you were thinking of is Busytown, which IS on the server... (in fact, it was just on last night )


In other news, do want this level at least tested:
FPSBANANA > Maps > TF2 > Control Point > cp_treehouse

This one looks interesting as well
FPSBANANA > Maps > TF2 > Capture the Flag > Underhanded

(BTW, did we ever play cp_gydan? I think I have, but I don't remember much... it looks like a good map...)

fileplanet doesn't need a monthly subscription, it's just tricky about it. just click "queue file" instead of "download now!".
